WOULD YOU LIKE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE MOVIE INDUSTRY?

  1. I have to say that I rarely go to the Movie Theatres and see the most recent movies that are out there for several reasons. First, most movies these days have lost the touch of "Pure Entertainment". Make believe and immagination is what made Hollywood so facinating and fun to experience. Second, why is it so darn expensive?? I am single and just for myself I have paid up to $14 for one movie and then walked out feeling like I waisted my time and money! And Thirdly, Most movies these days lack originality! Repeated versions of classic stories is okay, as long as it is done well. Honestly, how many super hero and Vampire and Detective stories can we have!

I find this research project interesting because I find myself watching more classic films from the 40's-80's because those movies were just stories, no reality juts pure entertainment and stories!!

  2. I agree with above, and try to avoid Hollywood crap if I can. We usually watch indie movies either at home (netflix) or in indie theaters. Hollywood has become McDonald's and I am not interested in it. Web has become huge and if you want to compete with it you gotta work hard.

  3. My husband and I try to see a movie a week. We like comedies, action, informative...almost all movies. We are in our late 60's and still enjoy Disney. Movies can transport you, make you laugh, make you cry with joy or sorrow, make you think...we feel movies tell us more about politics (than we sometimes want to know but should) drug use in this country and in some cases how others really live. Corruption but also more beauty then we could ever imagine. WE LOVE THE MOVIES from 40's to 2009 and on....
